Enlightening Minds ♦ Enriching Hearts ♦ Inspiring Future Leaders
I was born and raised in the state of North Dakota. I attended College at the University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota and graduated with a degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Physical Education in 1988. I chose the University of Mary as it has an excellent Catholic/Christian curriculum tied into being one of the top 100 leadership universities in the country. I moved to California in 1989. I student taught in the second grade and spent the majority of my 19 years of teaching in the upper grades. I taught in both the parochial and public school systems and I received my MA in school administration in 1996 from CSUB. I have been the principal at Sacred Heart School since 2007. I have been in education for approximately thirty years.
I have been married for 25 years and have two sons. My oldest son is currently attending the U.S. Naval Academy and my youngest son is in high school. Both of my children attended here at Sacred Heart School and received an outstanding education that really prepared them for high school and beyond! My wife is a local teacher in the Antelope Valley. My hobbies include reading, traveling, sports, carpentry work, and the outdoors.
I enjoy my ministry work as the principal of Sacred Heart School and thank God daily for my countless blessings. I feel like I have the best job in the world to come to Sacred Heart School and continue the excellent work of all of the people who arrived before all of us and made Sacred Heart School the special place that it is today as our Sacred Heart School family. Every day I enjoy working with everyone who continues to challenge our students with pride as they grow spiritually, academically, socially, and emotionally.
