Dear Sacred Heart School Community,
Thank you for all of your help and support with the roll out and return of the 5th and 6th grade classes this week. I have a couple of reminders to share with you.
1) With the season that we are in with the wind and temperatures, please send with your child each day a coat that will keep them warm when they are outside for recess/PE. If we have colder and inclement weather they will stay in their classrooms.
2) During the drop off and pick up, please leave your child's name and grade level paper on the passenger side dashboard. For safety reasons, you don't need to hold up the sign as you are driving and moving forward in the line. We appreciate your help and support. We will walk up to your vehicle and read the name(s).
3) Mrs. de la Cruz and I are working on an adjusted parent volunteer hour plan for your families this year. Instead of the 30 required hours, we are going to adjust it to 15 hours. More information to come out soon. One of the items that the teachers and school could really use for sanitizing are the wipes containers that kill 99.9% of viruses and bacteria. For every ten dollars spent to support the school equals one service hour. This afternoon I was at Sam's Club and their wipes were around $3.00 each. At their store they sell them individually and I purchased a dozen of them for the school. Plus, save your receipts for your volunteer hour credit.
Thank you for all of your wonderful support as we are all in this together!
Blessings, prayers, and be safe,
Mr. Schatz
